The Riders and the years in which they participated:

Sean King
Sean King (2006, 2007, 2008). Sean is a Certified Personal Trainer, and has been cycling for over 6 years. Sean lost both parents to cancer less than a year apart, but it was after his mother Audrey Simpson passed in April 2005 that he felt the need to do something to raise awareness and funds for the fight against cancer.


Monica Weekes
Monica Weekes (2007, 2008). Monica is a Certified Personal trainer and has been cycling for over 4 years. Monica went to France in 2006, and although she did not compete in the Etape that year, she did ride in the mountains afterwards, and decided to take up the challenge the following year. Monica became a member of the BCU in 2008 and currently races.

Larry Rogers
Larry Rogers (2006, 2008). Larry is a chef/restaurateur of Pisces Restaurant. Larry is a survivor of throat/tongue cancer and has been cycling for over 6 years.






Gregory Austin
Gregory "Scrawnz" Austin (2006, 2008). Greg is the IT Manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers. He is a member of The Barbados Cycling Union and has been cycling for over 10 years.





Leslie Ward
Leslie Ward (2007). Leslie is member of The Barbados Cycling Union and has been cycling for over 12 years.



Joseph Taylor
Joseph "Junie" Taylor (2007). Joseph is a member of The Barbados Cycling Union and has been cycling for over 20 years.



John Mockridge
John Mockridge (2005, 2006, 2007, 2008) - John is our British team-mate and has been an integral part of each trip every year. John did the Etape in 2005 and raised money for cancer research because at that time Larry was fighting cancer as well.
